Our Motor Valley neighbourhood is home to seven car manufacturers. One of their founders, Ferrucio Lamborghini, reached the hall of fame from humble beginnings. His journey started in 1948 with a tractor manufacturing company, Lamborghini Trattori. After ten successful years, it was time to celebrate… so Ferruccio bought himself a Ferrari.
But as an expert in engineering, he soon found faults with the car. Bold as ever, he walked across the block and complained directly to Enzo, who was having none of it. And thus a world-famous rivalry was born. In 1963, Ferrucio founded Lamborghini and began creating his own grand touring cars. The rest is history.
